The diagram shows the effects of the median (sample size 5). The filter is used to suppress errors. The output
changes after a defined number of samples (sample size/2).
The measurement frequency is not affected by
this filter, but rather the response time.
Moving average
The output of the moving average filter is the average of all values found in the array with the defined sample
size. When a new sample is added, the oldest sample is removed (Moving filter).
As visible in the diagram, the moving average softens the output. In contrast to the median filter, values at the
output can be values that have never been measured.
The measurement frequency is not affected by this
filter, but rather the response time.
