Restore the Factory Settings
If you cannot locate a fault of the AP or forget the password of the web UI of the AP, you can
reset the AP to restore its factory settings and then configure it again.

When the factory settings are restored, your configuration is lost. Therefore, you need to reconfigure
the AP to reconnect to the internet. Restore the factory settings of the AP only when necessary.

To prevent AP damages, ensure that the power supply of the AP is normal when the AP is reset.

After the factory settings are restored, the login IP address of the AP is changed to
192.168.0.254
, and
the user name and password of the AP are changed to
admin
.
Method 1:
This method enables you to restore the factory settings without logging in to the web UI of
the AP.
Procedure:
When the
SYS
LED indicator blinks green, use a pin to hold down the reset button
for 8 seconds and release it until the green LED indicator turns solid on.
The AP is restored to factory settings when the green LED indicator (
SYS
indicator) blinks
again.
Method 2:
1.
Log in to the web UI of the AP, choose
Tools
>
Configuration
and click
the
Reset
tab.

Click the
Reset
button.
3.
Click
OK
.
