Avoid Injury.
Contact with hot Heat Wand or Stand
will cause skin burns; use caution.
Wear safety glasses and use caution
when handling knives and trim tools.
NOTE
Consider completing the quarterly
Preventive Maintenance tasks
before shutting down the Splicing System.
Most of the tasks were already completed
during the Splicing process, see
Shut Down & Clean
1.
Set the Temperature Control Box
Power
to
OFF and unplug it from the electric outlet.
2.
Disconnect the Wand Cord from the Tem-
perature Control Box and Heat Wand.
3.
Coil and secure the Electric Cords.
4.
Clean the Clamping Fixture with a clean, dry
cloth, close the Grooved Decks, and secure the
Cut Guides in place.
5.
Remove the Crank Handle from the Clamp-
ing Fixture and put it in the plastic bag.
6.
Clean any accessories, PPE, or other compo-
nents and seal them in the plastic bag with the
Crank Handle.
Cool Down
Let the Heat Wand and Stand cool completely
(usually 15-20 minutes) in a safe place.
Pack the Storage Case
1.
With the storage case open, stand near the
front latches and put the main components in
using these instructions.
• Latch the Heat Wand in the Stand, then
put the Heat Wand and Stand in the long
compartment near the lid hinges.
• Put the Temperature Control Box in the
middle compartment to the right.
