Perform the following procedures quarterly to ensure the Splicing System is in good working order
when you need it most.

Ensure all components are in the Splicing System storage case. See
on page 2-1. See the Intralox web-
site or enclosed documents for a list of available replacement parts if
needed.

Ensure the Instruction Manual is in the storage case.

Ensure safety labels are adhered per photographs in this manual. See
on page -3. Contact Intralox or Clarion Safety for
replacement labels if needed.

Set up the Splicing System and inspect for the following:
• Ensure the Clamping Fixture opens easily and smoothly. See
• Ensure blades and trim tools are sharp and intact.
• Ensure the Heat Wand Cord and connections are in working order.
• Ensure the Temperature Control Box display appears when powered
on and the Electric Cord is in working order.
• Ensure the Heat Wand pre-heats when powered on.

Secure any misaligned or loose components, etc

Clean the Temperature Control Box display with minimal lens cleaning
solution and a soft cloth.
x
Use a clean, dry cloth to remove dust or belt debris from each Splicing
System component.
