handset.
n
After this entry, press the <
#

6. Handset Adjustments
Several adjustments are available depending on the characteristics of the device to which the
Sigma
7
is connected. The adjustments and procedures are as follows:
(A) Temporary Adjustments
Temporary adjustments affect a call in progress. The only temporary adjustments available
are the earpiece volume up or down. When the call is terminated, the levels will revert to their
default values.
(B) Permanent Adjustments
These adjustments establish the operation of the handset and, after the settings are adjusted,
will apply to all future operation of the handset. These adjustments are typically made at time
of installation testing to ensure proper operation with the transceiver or CTU to which the
handsets are connected. Because these adjustments may dramatically affect the operation of
the handsets, care should be taken when adjusting audio levels.
(C) Default Settings
The following are the default settings when a
Reset
is done to the Sigma

phone.
¾
To set up the telephone properly, hold the <

> button during power-up.
