Voice Mail Directory
With the voice mail directory, subscribers and non-subscribers can use ASR (if
enabled) or dialpad buttons to search for directory names.
To use the dialpad buttons to spell a name with a display endpoint:
When
prompted, press the appropriate dialpad buttons to spell the name. The number of
times a button is pressed determines which character is entered, as shown in the table
below. When adjoining characters are under the same button, press
to advance
to the next character. For example, 5666
66337777 enters “JONES.”
*The character available depends on the software version.
To use the dialpad buttons to spell a name with a non-display endpoint:
When
prompted, press a single button on your endpoint dialpad for each letter or character
entered. For example, dialpad button
shows ABC, button
shows DEF, etc. To
enter “JONES,” you would press

for “Q”,
for “Z”,
and
for punctuation marks.
