If you are not using a headset, you can talk handsfree using your speaker and micro-
phone. You can also use the speakerphone for on-hook dialing, call monitoring, and
background music.
Mute Button
To mute the microphone so that you can hear the other party, but they cannot
hear you (this does not put them on hold):
Press .
To return to the call:
Press .
Group Listen Using the Speaker
With the Group Listen feature, you can transmit a conversation over the speaker while
you use the handset or headset to continue speaking. This allows other people to hear
the caller while the caller can only hear you.
NOTE:
You cannot use this feature on a handsfree call. You must be on a call using
the handset or a headset before entering the feature code.
To turn the group listen feature on or off during a call:
Press
and
dial
. You hear a confirmation tone (the other party does
not hear this tone).
NOTE:
If you are using the handset, the
button lamp will remain unlit, even
though the speaker is on. This allows you to place the call into handsfree mode at any
time during the call by pressing
and hanging up. If you are using a headset,
however, the
button lamp is lit. Pressing
will disconnect the call.
