Insert the bootable BIOS upgrade floppy disk
into floppy drive A.

Reconnect the AC power cord and turn on
the computer. The recovery process will
take a few minutes.
7.
Listen to the speaker.
a. Two beeps and the end of activity in drive
A indicate successful BIOS recovery.
b. A series of continuous beeps indicates
failed BIOS recovery.
8.
If recovery fails, return to step 1 and repeat
the recovery process.
9.
If recovery is successful, turn off the
computer and disconnect the AC power cord
from the computer. Remove the computer
cover and continue with the following steps.

On jumper block
move the jumper
back to pins 5-6 as shown below.

11. Replace the computer cover and reconnect
the AC power cable; leave the upgrade disk
in drive A and turn on the computer.
12. Continue with the BIOS upgrade
(see page 79).
