Do the following prior to starting installation or maintenance:
1.
Power down the server.
2.
Remove all cables from the server.
3.
Remove the server out of the rack:
1.
To reduce the risk of personal injury or equipment damage, be sure that the
rack is adequately stabilized before you extend a component from the rack.
2.
To reduce the risk of personal injury, be careful when sliding the server into
the rack. The sliding rails could pinch your fingers.
a.
Open the quick release levers of the mounting ears on the front panel of
the server, and then loosen the two captive screws in the levers securing
the server in place.
b.
Gently slide and remove the server out of the rack.

After performing installation or maintenance, slide the server all the way
back into the rack to secure it in place.
