HARDWIRED CONNECTION
HPAC 2.0 can be hardwired to the correctly sized circuit breaker. When doing so make sure to check local codes.
Mount a junction box behind the unit as indicated on the template. A junction box provides a protected enclosure for
electrical connections (required by some electrical codes)
Follow national or local codes regarding flush, surface or recessed mounting of boxes.
To hardwire the unit, proceed as follows:
WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Turn off all electrical power before making any connections. All
electrical connections and wiring MUST be installed by a qualified
electrician and conform to the National Code and all local codes
which have jurisdiction. Improper wiring may result in property
damage, injury or death.
STEP 1 Disconnect the power from the unit
STEP 2 Remove the upper grille
STEP 3
Undo the 2 upper screws that fasten the front panel and remove it, lifting it slightly.
STEP 4 Undo the 2 upper screws that fasten the electrical part cover and remove it.
STEP 5 Disconnect the power cord by unscrewing the 3 screws from the terminal block.
STEP 6
Connect the power cable, checking that the power supply line has a suitable
ground connection and that it is sized for the maximum absorption of the unit
(minimum cable section equal to 1.5 mm2).
