DO NOT power down the gateway or interrupt the firmware upgrade while
it is being upgraded. Improper operation could damage the gateway.
Remote Access
To temporarily permit remote administration of the gateway (i.e. from outside your LAN), select a time
period the gateway will permit remote access for and click
Enable.
You may change other configuration
options for the web administration interface using
Device Management
options in the
Advanced
section of
the GUI.
If you wish to permanently enable remote access, choose a time period of
0
minutes.
Firmware Upgrade
Your gateway’s “firmware” is the software that allows it to operate and provides all its functionality. This
firmware may be improved and modified in the future. This Firmware Upgrade option allows you to make
this upgrade. Clicking on
Browse
will allow you to select the new firmware image file you have downloaded
to your PC. Once the correct file is selected, click Upgrade to update the firmware in your gateway.
