8-9-7 Factory Reset the device
Users can perform a factory reset of the device as follows:
1.
Using the touchscreen, tap the Settings icon to open the main menu.
2. Tap More until Advanced Settings appears in the menu list.
3. Tap Advanced Settings.
4. Tap Activate next to Reset Settings.
5. Tap Reset to revert to default settings. The device resets and the user must
go through the device setup wizard. Tap Cancel to cancel reset.
PERFORMING A FACTORY RESET ERASES CUSTOMIZED USER
CONFIGURATIONS STORED ON THE DEVICE AND RESTORES THE ORIGINAL
DEFAULT SETTINGS PROGRAMMED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE PROCESS
CANNOT BE UNDONE.
PERFORMING A DATA REMOVAL ERASES CUSTOMIZED USER
CONFIGURATIONS STORED ON THE DEVICE AND RESTORES THE ORIGINAL
DEFAULT SETTINGS PROGRAMMED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE PROCESS
CANNOT BE UNDONE.
PERFORMING A FACTORY RESET DOES NOT ERASE IMAGES STORED TO THE
INTERNAL STORAGE OF THE DEVICE. PERFORMING A FACTORY RESET DOES
NOT ERASE IMAGES STORED TO THE REMOVABLE USB DRIVE.
PERFORMING A DATA REMOVAL ERASES IMAGES STORED TO THE INTERNAL
STORAGE OF THE DEVICE. PERFORMING A DATA REMOVAL DOES NOT ERASE
IMAGES STORED TO THE REMOVABLE USB DRIVE.
8-9-8 Remove All Data
Remove all collected data and reset the device registration as follows:
1.
Using the touchscreen, tap the Settings icon to open the main menu.
2. Tap More until Advanced Settings appears in the menu list.
3. Tap Advanced Settings.
4. Tap Activate next to Remove All Data.
5. Tap OK to remove data and registration. The device resets and the user
must go through the device setup wizard. Tap Cancel to cancel removal.
