Problem
Causes and remedies
All the INspektor's
LEDs are off, the web
interface is not
available
Possible cause:
x
Power supply interrupted
Remedy:
x
(Re-)Connect 24 VDC power supply
ERR LED is perma-
nently lit red
Possible cause:
x
Internal device error
Remedy:
x
Return the unit for servicing
RUN LED is perma-
nently lit yellow
Possible cause:
x
No communication on the PROFIBUS
Remedy:
x
Check cabling and PLC communication
RUN LED and ERR
LED are both not lit
permanently
Possible cause:
x
IP address conflict with a device on the
connected network
Remedy:
x
Remove the INspektor from the network and
reconfigure the INspektor's IP address (direct
connection to PC/notebook using crossover
patch cable)
IP address is unknown Possible cause:
x
IP address was changed and then „forgotten“
Remedy:
x
Use Indu-Sol´s “Search & Configure” tool or
serial about a terminal programm
INspektor's web inter-
face is not available
Possible cause:
x
Use of the wrong patch cable or patch cable
damaged
Remedy:
x
Use a crossover cable for direct connection to a
PC/notebook and a standard patch cable for
connection to a switch; replace defective cabling
