MACHINE/RELAY DEFINITION (FUNCTION #5)
That completes one channel definition. The next prompt will ask if you wish to define the next
channel. Repeat the above procedure as many times as necessary to complete the entire
definition for the machine.
If you make a mistake, it is often possible to use the Back/Review button to return to the
mistaken entry and correct it. At worst, you can repeat the steps for one channel to correct it.
If you make any to a channel definition you must step all of the way through to the next
channel before those changes are saved.
To begin Machine Definition, press the Function(#) key and then the 5 key, the display will
show “ACCESS”,
which tells you that you must enter the four-digit access code for this unit
before you will be allowed to see and/or modify the Machine Definition. The default access
code is 5 6 8 6.
Press the numbers of your access code; the display shows a “*” for each digit pressed. After you
have pressed the four digits, press Enter/Yes.
If the number you have entered does not match the IMPAX unit’s access code, the display will
show “ACCESS DENIED
”
for a few seconds, followed by the production counter.
If the display shows “REDEFINE?”,
you have entered the correct access code, and you may now
change the access code to a different one. If you want to change the access code, answer the
question by pressing the Enter/Yes key. The display will show “NEW _”. You may
enter a 1, 2, 3, or 4 digit number and then press the Enter/Yes key. As you enter the numbers, an
* will appear. The display will now show “ACCESS _”, which is asking you now to enter the
new number. Re-enter the number exactly as you did before. If you did it correctly, the display
will show “LOAD STD PRGM?” If you did it incorrectly, the display will show “ACCESS
DENIED”,
followed by the production counter.
If you press Enter/Yes, the Default Machine Definition will be loaded for you to use as a starting
point in customization. Use caution however, because loading the Standard Program
permanently erases custom changes which were previously set into the IMPAX, and may be
difficult to reconstruct. If you press the Enter/Yes key, the next display will show “ARE YOU
SURE?”
This is just to make sure that you really want to erase any custom settings and return to
the default settings. If that is what you want to do, press the Enter/Yes key, otherwise press the
Next/No key to go to the next screen.
