Basic operation

Using your fax machine as a printer

If the printer driver has been installed on your PC, ix3010 is also able to be used as a
printer. To install the printer driver on your PC, see Printer driver/TWAIN driver
Installing guide.

Note: In order to use your fax machine

as a printer, a printer cable is
needed.
On the printer cable, please attach
the ferrite core which is in the
packing contents.

Note: When using your fax machine as a printer,

please attach the “online key label” to the left-
most Soft key. You will find the label in the
Soft key labels in the packing contents.

Simply chose the print command in the application from which you wish to
print.

You can modify the printer settings for each respective application. If you give a
printer command or select printer installation, a dialog box opens. Select the
command which will take you to printer setting and make the desired modifica-
tion.

In “Control Panel”, you can modify the printer settings for all applications.
Highlight the FAX printer and under “Printing Preferences” make the desired
modification.

Under “File/Set as default Printer” you can determine whether you wish to use
the machine as a standard printer or not.
