This chapter describes how to start and begin using the NEXIO™ NX1010
series.

Overview
The NEXIO NX1010 series is a slim 1 rack unit server featuring mirrored
boot drives, redundant hot swap power supplies, and redundant Fibre
Channel connectivity to shared storage.
The NX1010 series is designed to be a platform built for file transfer
operations. An astonishing amount of connectivity is built into the
machine. In addition to four 4Gb/s Fibre Channel connections, 6 Gigabit
Ethernet ports are also provided. This gives the NX1010 series
unparalleled connectivity to the outside world as well as other NEXIO
environments. It also provides four USB ports, for easy connection to a
wide range of peripheral devices for added flexibility.
FTP Server is provided as standard, making the NX1010 series immediately
ready for high speed data I/O.
