• Most dry blowing operations are better suited to low
speed than high. High speed is better for moving
heavier items like large debris or gravel.
• Use the blower to clean around trees, shrubs, flower
beds and other hard to clean areas.
• Use the blower around buildings and for other nor-
mal cleaning tasks.

Operating as a vacuum
1. Start the engine. See Starting/Stopping Instructions.
2. Set the blower/vacuum mode change-over lever
(7) to the up position (B - vacuum mode).

NOTE: Never use the unit with the change-over
lever halfway in between either position.
3. Place the shoulder harness over your head, onto
your shoulder, and adjust it properly. See “Installing
and Adjusting the Shoulder Harness”.
4. Hold the vacuum, tilting the blower/vacuum tube
slightly and use a sweeping action to collect light
debris. Small leaves and twigs will flow into the
vacuum bag and be mulched as they pass through
the impeller housing, allowing the vacuum bag to
hold more debris.
