YOUR VEHICLE AT A GLANCE
St: steering wheel locking
position
Unlocking: Slightly rotate the steering
wheel leftwards and rightwards when
rotating the ignition key to unlock the
steering wheel.
Locking: After the vehicle is completely
stopped, apply the parking brake tightly,
take off the ignition key and rotate the
steering wheel slightly to ensure that the
steering wheel is locked.
Turn off the ignition switch to position A
or St and open any one of door without
taking off the ignition key; afterwards,
the buzzer will alarm for about 20s and
then stop alarming after the ignition key
is taken off or the door is closed.
A: Working position of electrical
accessories
If the ignition key is at this position, the
electrical accessories can be used and
the battery charging indicator lamp will
be lighted.
M: Ignition switch operating
position
At this position, the combination
instrument backlight will be lighted
and the following indicator lamps or
warning lamps should come on for a
short while and then go out: cipher anti-
start indicator lamp, ABS indicator lamp,
airbag warning lamp and cruise control
indicator lamp*.
If the cipher anti-start indicator lamp
goes out, then the engine can be started.
The following warning lamps should stay
on before the engine goes to run:
Engine oil pressure warning lamp,
battery charging lamp, parking brake
warning lamp, EPS warning lamp,
engine malfunction warning lamp and
driver’s safety belt unfastening warning
lamp.
D: START position
Release the key immediately after the
engine is started; then the key will return
to M position automatically.
Note:
The warning lamp is only
available on instrument of models
equipped with DFM A16 engine.
Note:
Do not rotate the key to START
position when the engine is running.
