for a fall arrest application the anchor position should be as high as possible to minimise the free fall distance
before arrest, is as vertical as possible in line with the work activity to minimise any ‘swing’ during a fall and is
positioned to minimise any possible collision with the structure and or other protrusions.

for a restraint application the anchor position should be set back from the edge and away from any potential fall
position.
•
ensure that if the Anchorage Sling is to be used within a fall arrest system they verify the free space required
beneath them at the workplace before each occasion of use, so that in a case of a fall, there will be no collision
with the ground or other obstacle in the fall path
