CAUTION: Before each weighing and transfer of
values from the balance, the “TARE”
key needs to be pressed.
If the crucible is placed in the sample rack, the
input field is closed automatically and the prepa-
red measurement appears in the measurement
window.
If the crucible is now removed from the sample
rack, the input field opens once more and com-
bustion aids can be added (if this has not already
been done).
If entries have already been made the input field
is deactivated.
b) Opening the preparation dialogue box on the
calorimeter by pressing the “Preparation” button.
With the preparation dialogue box open, the “Ba-
lance” key can be used to assign the weighted
sample values to the appropriate input fields.
The balance value is always entered into the cor-
responding field.
In order to close the dialogue box, the crucible
must always be placed in an empty compartment
in the sample rack.
Now you can prepare further measurements and
fill up the rack.
The „Sample rack“ tab allows you to check the
current assignment for the rack:
If you wish to start a measurement that has been
prepared in the sample rack, just take out the re-
spective crucible. The dialogue „Preparation for
measurement“ opens with the values previous-
ly entered (weighted sample, name,...) and you
can check this data and if necessary select a de-
composition vessel. After the dialogue has been
closed with „OK“, the system continues with the
standard calorimetric procedure.
