ECP+EPP The parallel port operates in the extended
capabilities port (ECP) mode. The ECP mode
supports bi-directional communication between the
system and the parallel port device and the
transmission rates between the two are much faster
than the Normal mode
The parallel port becomes compatible with EPP
devices described above
x EPP Mode Select [EPP1.7]
The EPP Mode Select option is only available if the Parallel Port Mode option is set to
EPP mode. Use the EPP Mode Select option to select the parallel port mode standard for
the parallel port.
EPP1.9 EPP 1.9 is selected as the EPP standard.
EPP1.7 (Default) EPP 1.7 is selected as the EPP standard.
x ECP Mode Use DMA [3]
The ECP Mode Use DMA option is only available if the Parallel Port Mode option is set
to ECP mode. Use the ECP Mode Use DMA option to specify the DMA channel the
parallel port must use in the ECP mode.
