Use the OnBoard PCI IDE Controller BIOS option to specify the IDE channels used by
the onboard PCI IDE controller. The following configuration options are available.
Disabled Prevents the system from using the onboard IDE
controller
Primary Only allows the system to detect the Primary IDE
channel, including both the Primary Master and the
Primary Slave
Secondary Only allows the system to detect the Secondary IDE
channel, including both the Secondary Master and
Secondary Slave
Both D
EFAULT
Allows the system to detect both the Primary and
Secondary IDE channels including the Primary Master,
Primary Slave, Secondary Master and Secondary
Slave.
Onboard PCI IDE Operate Mode [Legacy Mode]
Use the Onboard PCI IDE Operate Mode BIOS option to set the running mode for the
PCI IDE.
Legacy Mode D
EFAULT
The PCI IDE mode is the same as the IDE mode
Native Mode The PCI IDE mode is the native mode
Hard Disk Write Protect [Disabled]
The Hard Disk Write Protect BIOS option protects the hard disks from being overwritten.
This menu item is only effective if the device is accessed through the BIOS.
