Refer to the Programming Guide for the ID Maker printer for more information on programming a
smartcard and the Option installation manual for configuration of the card present signal.
The Command Sequence is as Follows:
• Sending the SIS sequence:
• A card is moved from the feeder to the contact station, and stops underneath it.
• The contact station is pushed downwards to make contact with the card.
• The printer connects the contact station to the DB-9 connector.
• The chip can be programmed via the external coupler.
The ID Maker product catalogue also includes printers equipped with a chip contact station and a built-in encoder.
These encoders connect to the PC via a USB interface.
