6. Connection of the refrigerant circuit

Installation instructions AERO SLM

connection of the refrigerant circuit

SL-Modul

6.3. Connection of the indoor unit on refri-

gerant side

The refrigerant pipes will be soldered to the indoor
unit. The soldered connections must be made accor-
ding to the requirements of the cooling technology
by a trained refrigeration engineer licensed by iDM
Energiesysteme GmbH.
The connections for the refrigerant pipes are on the
backside of the AERO SLM indoor unit.
To connect the refrigerant pipes, the protecting caps
must be cut.
The refrigerant pipes must be cut with a pipe cutter to
the required length. The burrs must be removed with
a deburring tool.
Soldering must be carried out under inert gas (Nitro-
gen N2)!

In the scope of delivery of the AERO SLM are two pcs.
pipe bending springs. With these bending springs,
the heating installer has the option of bending the
refrigerant pipes on the backside of the heat pump in
the appropriate direction, depending on the desired
routing of the refrigerant connection pipes (see the
red and green dashed lines in the

fi

 gure above).

When installing the AERO SLM, make sure that the
distance to the wall on the backside is large enough
to solder the refrigerant connection lines properly.

The connection of the refrigerant pipes and
the refrigerant may only be handled by
trained experts authorised by iDM Energie-
systeme GmbH!

The refrigerant fl ow through the indoor unit
can lead to fl ow noises!

In accordance with Regulation (EU)
No. 517/2014 of 01/01/2015 on certain

fl

 uorinated greenhouse gases and in

accordance with Regulation (EU) No.
1516/2007, the operator of a heat pump
system is obligated to carry out regular
leak tests by a certi

fi

 ed professional. The

interval may vary depending upon the
CO2 equivalent capacity. The inspection
intervals are indicated in the Check- and
Servicebook.

Pipe bending spring

The refrigerant pipes are ex-factory sol-
dered. The pipes must not be unsoldered
during commissioning, but must be cut o
