When the measurement of the bit error is completed, the result is displayed.
If the total number of bit errors is
“0” and all signal conductions are “OK”, the cable is normal.
Even if the bit error is not
“0”, video may be displayed correctly, depending on the equalizer performance of
the sink device and the output signal quality of the source device.
Table 9.2 on the next page shows the measurement results of IDK
’s cables as examples.
For IDK
’s 20 m/65.62 ft. or shorter cables, the acceptance criteria is fixed at “0”. For long cables, the criteria
vary depending on the usage environment.
Note:
Please do not apply an extra force to the connector at the time of connection; otherwise, the
measurement may not be performed correctly.
