Contraindications
• Age < 6 years
• A doctor has recommended you avoid physical stress
• During pregnancy
• Acute illnesses of the respiratory system (e.g. colds, respiratory tract inflam-
mation and pneumonia)
• Spontaneous or traumatic pneumothorax
• Pulmonary hypertension
• Artificial respiration
• Sinusitis (inflammation of the paranasal sinuses)
• Injuries to the eardrum
• Fresh wounds in the thoracic region
• Fractures in the torso region (e.g. broken ribs)
• The acute phase following a heart attack
• Acute heart failure
