Creating a circuit program without operator panel
There are two ways to create a circuit program for a IDEC
SmartRelay without display:
•
You create the circuit program with WindLGC on your PC
and then download it to the IDEC SmartRelay (see Chap-
ter 7).
•
You download the circuit program from a IDEC SmartRe-
lay memory cartridge (card) to your IDEC SmartRelay
without display (see Chapter 6).
Operating characteristics
IDEC SmartRelay is ready for operation when power is
switched on. Switching off a IDEC SmartRelay without dis-
play is equivalent to disconnecting the power supply, e.g. as
if you were removing the plug.
The circuit program of FL1C-B12... versions can not be start-
ed or stopped by means of buttons. This is why the FL1C-
B12... versions have other startup characteristics:
Startup characteristics
If there is no circuit program in the IDEC SmartRelay or on
the inserted memory cartridge (card), IDEC SmartRelay re-
mains in STOP.
If there is a valid circuit program in IDEC SmartRelay mem-
ory, the IDEC SmartRelay automatically switches from
STOP to RUN when power is switched on.
The circuit program on an inserted memory cartridge (card)
is automatically copied to the IDEC SmartRelay, immediate-
ly after power is switched on. The existing circuit program in
IDEC SmartRelay memory is overwritten. The system auto-
matically changes from STOP to RUN.
Provided the PC cable is connected to the IDEC SmartRe-
lay, you can download the circuit program to IDEC SmartRe-
lay and start it by means of the WindLGC PC software (see
Chapter 7.1).
