Tests menu description – Cable mode
When the TESTS icon from the cable mode home screen is selected, Fig 12, the available tests
will be displayed, Fig 13.

After any one of the three available tests from the menu is selected, the soft keys RUN and
SETUP will appear:
Wiremap
When the soft key RUN (F1) is pressed a wiremap test will be run on the cable currently
connected to the tester’s RJ45 port. The settings used for the test will be those that have
been preset via the setup menu: SETUP>TESTS>WIRETEST>WIREMAP.
After the test has been run, the display will show a graphical interpretation of the result (Fig
14) and an indication of the distance to the fault or, the length of the cable. Select F2 (FAULT)
and the display will show a textual list of the faults detected Fig 15.
