PREPARATION FOR IGNITION
1. Check that the electrical supply is OFF and remove
the boiler front panel. Refer to Section 3.2
2. Check that the system has been filled and that
the boiler is not air locked.
3. Ensure that the automatic air vent cap is open.
4. Refit the boiler front panel. Refer to Section
3.2.
5. Check that the drain cock is closed and that the
CH (G & K) isolating valves are OPEN.
6. Move the On/Off knob (E) to the ‘off’ position
7. Slacken the screw in the inlet pressure test
point (H) and connect a gas pressure gauge via
a flexible tube.
INITIAL IGNITION
1. Switch the electricity supply ON and check all internal and external
controls are calling for heat.
2. Move the On/Off knob (E) into the ‘on’ position. Set the Boiler
Temperature Control knob (D) to ‘max’. The boiler will now go through
its ignition sequence until the burner is established.
3. If the boiler has not lit, after 5 ignition attempts, the following screen will
be displayed.
IGNITION LOCKOUT
Check other gas appliances work
If pre-payment meter check credit
If not, contact gas supplier
Restart boiler.
If fault persists contact installer

RESTART
4. Restart the boiler and the ignition sequence will be repeated. If Restart
occurs 5 times within 15 minutes then the following screen will be displayed.
TOO MANY RESTARTS
Contact installer

EXIT
RESTART
If power is removed this will be restarted.
