SE/LVD Terminator for SE/LVD hard disks with SCA connector.
B.4.5 Examples
On the following pages, are some examples of correct SCSI cabling.
First of all a few general tips:
All ICP Controllers have a yellow LED for each Wide/Ultra2 and Ultra 160 SCSI channel.
This LED indicates the current SCSI-Mode of the corresponding channel. If the LED is
lit, the Wide/Ultra2 and Ultra 160 SCSI channel is operating in LVDS-Mode.
If the LED is not lit, this channel is operating in SE-Mode only.
(The same applies to the SCSI accessories Art.No.: 8951 and 8952. There are two LEDs
indicating the current SCSI-Mode: Green=SE, Yellow=LVDS).
If you want to use hot-swap shelfs for LVD disk drives, make sure that the shelf is fully
LVD compliant, especially when several shelfs are operated on one LVD channel. When-
ever possible use for both, the shelf and the LVD disk drive, the SCA connector.
