BATTERY WARNING

•

Failure to follow the Safety Precautions listed in this Battery Warning could lead to serious bodily

injury and death. Seek immediate medical attention if you are exposed to any substance that is

   emitted from the battery.

•

Do not touch any leaking materials, or breathe fumes emitted. Do not allow children and animals

   to touch the battery.

•

The battery contains dangerous substances, do not open the battery, or insert anything into the battery.

• Please only use the charger provided with this E-Bike.

• Do not attempt to charge the E-Bike if the battery has discharged or emitted any substances.

In that case, the battery should be abandoned for safety.

• Please follow all local, state and federal laws in regards to recycling, handling and disposing of Lithium Ion batteries.

Danger of short circuit, fire and explosion!

• Use only the enclosed rechargeable battery for this E-bike!

• A rechargeable battery with damaged housing must no longer be used. Replace the rechargeable battery!

• Never open or repair the rechargeable battery. Replace the rechargeable battery instead if it is defective.

• Keep the rechargeable battery away from fire and excessive heat.

• Never hold the rechargeable battery under water. Never clean it with a high-pressure cleaner!

• Never expose the rechargeable battery to any intense impacts or permanent vibrations!

• Ensure safe storage when transporting it e.g. in a car.

• If transporting the E-bike by car carrier system take out the rechargeable battery.

HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERY

Step 1:

Ensure that the charging port is clean and dry. Make sure that there is no dust, debris or dirt inside the charging port.

Step 2:

Plug the charger into the wall, then connect the cable with the power supply (100V ~ 240V; 50, 60 Hz), make sure the light

on the charger is lit GREEN.

Step 3:

Connect the charging cable into the charging port of the E-Bike. The indicator light on the charger should change to RED,

indicating that your E-Bike is now being charged. When the RED indicator light on your charger turns to GREEN, then your

E-Bike is fully charged. A full charge typically occurs within 2-3 hours.

Step 4:

Please unplug the charger from your E-Bike and from the power outlet.

Charge the rechargeable battery completely again if possible after every ride. This type of rechargeable battery does not suffer any memory

effect. For the charging times of your E-Bike, see the technical data. You can charge the rechargeable battery in or outside of the E-Bike.

• WARNING

Use only the enclosed charger to charge the rechargeable battery!

• DANGER

Observe the instructions from the charger's label, since wrong operation is possible.

• WARNING

The charger must only be used for the rechargeable battery of the E-bike. Only use the charger to charge rechargeable batteries

and no rechargeable batteries from other manufacturers.

• DANGER

The charger is only intended for indoor operation and must only be connected to a 230 VAC/50 Hz-power supply.

• WARNING

Never touch the charger and the plug with wet hands!

• WARNING

Ensure that there are no conductive objects (e.g. metal) near the charging plug and the rechargeable battery contacts!

• WARNING

Do not use the charger during high dust development, excess solar radiation (heat development!), thunderstorm or high humidity.

• WARNING

Ensure that the room is sufficiently ventilated when charging.

• CAUTION

If the charging time is clearly above the time according to the technical data, interrupt charging and contact customer service.

• CAUTION

Disconnect the charger from the power supply once charging is completed.

• CAUTION

Never open or repair the charger. Replace it if defective. Contact customer service!

• CAUTION

The charger is not intended for being used by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and/or

lack of knowledge. The only exception is when such persons are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they have

been instructed in the use of the charger by such a person. The charger must generally be kept away from children.

•

If you are not going to use your E-Bike for more than 2 months,

please make sure to store it at a dry place, to protect the electronic

  components.

•

For the battery we recommend to fully charge it before storing

  the E-Bike.

•

The rechargeable battery must be stored in a dry and cool, frost-free

room. Danger of short circuit and fire!

•

Switch off the drive system for repairs, maintenance and care work

  and remove the rechargeable battery.

•

The screws and nuts installed on the E-Bike must be checked for

tight fit at regular intervals (but at least every 3 months) and may

need to be tightened or re-tightened to the proper strength.

Only this can ensure that the E-bike permanently complies with

the safety-technical requirements and works properly. This does not

include the adjustment screws at the gearshift and brake components.

•

Perform the repair, maintenance and setting work only if you have

enough specialist knowledge and the corresponding tools. This

specifically applies to work on the brakes. Wrong or insufficient

repair, maintenance and setting work may cause damage to the

  E-Bike, malfunctions and therefore accidents.

•

The E-Bike or the individual parts are exposed to partially high

stress during the duration of use, accidents or improper treatment.

Any kind of cracks, scratches and colour changes may indicate

that the respective part may suddenly fail. This specifically applies

to bent or damaged safety-relevant parts, such as the frame, fork,

handlebar, stem, saddle, seat post, all brake components (specifically

brake lever & brake linings), lights, foot pedal, wheels, tyres and

tubes. Never repair such defective parts, but replace them with

  genuine spare parts without delay.

• Use only genuine spare parts for exchange of parts, since they

are specifically coordinated with the E-bike and can ensure proper

function. This specifically applies to safety-relevant parts, such as

the frame, fork, handlebar, stem, saddle, seat post, all brake compo-

nents (specifically brake lever & brake linings), lights, foot pedal,

wheels, tyres and tubes. If you use any third-party parts for exchange,

this may lead to damage and failure of safety-relevant parts.

•

The E-Bike requires regular inspection, maintenance and servicing.

Only this can ensure that it permanently complies with the safety-

  technical requirements and works properly.
