Call channel programming
The call channel is used to select Ch 9, however, you can
program your most often-used channels in each channel
group for quick recall.
q
While pushing [H/L], push [CH/WX] one or more times to
select the desired channel group (U.S.A., International,
Canada) to be programmed.

Push [16] for 1 sec. to select the call channel of the se-
lected channel group.
• “CALL” and call channel number appear.
e
Push [16] again for 3 sec. (until
long beep changes to 2 short
beeps) to enter call channel pro-
gramming mode.
• Channel number starts flashing.

]/[
Z
] to select the de-
sired channel.

Push [16] to program the dis-
played channel as the call chan-
nel.
• Push [CH/WX] to cancel.
• The channel number stops flash-
ing.

Channel names
Memory channels can be tagged with alphanumeric names
of up to 10 characters each.
Capital letters, small letters, numerals, some symbols (! " # $
% & ' ( )

+ , – . ⁄ ) and spaces can be used.

Select the desired memory channel.
• Cancel dualwatch, tri-watch or scan in advance.

While pushing [H/L], push [16] to edit memory channel
name.
• A cursor appears and blinks.
e
Select the desired character by pushing [
Y
]/[
Z
].
• Push [CH/WX] or [H/L] for cursor movement.
r
Push [16] to input and set the name.
• Push [H/L] to cancel.
• The cursor disappears.

Repeat steps
