Registration to the OTAR system

functon s enabled.
After selectng the channel, the transcever automatcally
attempts regstraton to the OTAR system by transmttng a
KMM ‘Regstraton’ command to KMF.
NOTE:
There are 2 types of KMM— Standard and Packet.
If the pre-programmed KMM type s not matched to the
system to whch the transcever attempts to regster wth,
the regstraton attempt may fal. In that case, the trans-
cever’s KMM type should be changed to another type. Ask
your dealer for detals.

Rekey request function
Normally, the encrypton keys are managed and securely
changed by KMF over the ar wthout recevng a Rekey
request.
But the transcever can control KMF remotely by sendng a
Rekey request to perform the rekey operaton.

Push and hold
[Rekey]
for 1 sec. to send a KMM ‘Hello’
command to KMF for a Rekey request.
• “REQUEST REKE” appears.

After recevng a Rekey request from the transcever, KMF
performs the rekey operaton.
e
When the rekey operaton s successful, “REQUEST
REKE” dsappears.
• If the rekey operaton fals, “FAILED” appears.
