Transmitting a Phone call
A user can make a Phone call that is similar to
standard phone calls. A transceiver and a PSTN
(Public Switched Telephone Network) can access
each other. When no phone number is preset, a
Phone call cannot be made.
(Menu > Signaling/Call >
Call Menu
)
1. Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen.
2. Push [Left] or [Right] to select “Signaling/Call,”
then push [OK].
3. Push [Up] or [Down] to select “Call Menu,” then
push [OK].
4. Select “Phone,” then push [OK].
5. Select the target telephone station, then push
[PTT] to transmit a Phone call.
• Beeps (PiPi) sound after the Phone call is connected
to the target station.
If your Phone call is not connected, push [Back] to
return to the standby mode.
6. Hold down [PTT] to speak.
7. Release [PTT] to receive.

After conversation is fi nished, push [Back] to
disconnect the Phone call.
TIP:
Push [Call Menu] to directly display the “Call
Menu” screen in step 4 above.

Transmitting an Emergency call
An APCO P25 mode Emergency call can be
transmitted in the same way as the 2-Tone or MDC
1200 signaling operation. See “Emergency call” for
