Cardiac patients can have different reactions. Be careful and attentive during
the electrical stimulation.
Pregnancy: avoid the application during pregnancy.
Do not stimulate the carotid sinus: it can exacerbate the autonomous vagal
reflexes
Care for the applications in children, epileptics and senile patients.
Monitoring Equipment: Avoid using electrical stimulation in post-surgery
recovery room while the patient is being monitored by heart rate monitor or
any other type of electronic monitoring.
Skin conditions: the continuous use of the electrostimulation may cause
dangerous irritation on the skin. If an eruption or any other rare symptom
appears, turn the equipment off and remove the electrodes.
Do not place the electrodes on the mouth or neck: muscle spasms can occur
and cause airway blockage.
Aversion to the use of electrical stimulation: Some people do not tolerate
electrical stimulation. These patients should probably be excluded from the
treatment which uses this equipment.
Attention
The electrical stimulation over the cardiac area may increase the risk of fibrillation
