locations of the connectors and components.

Adapter activity LED
Power LED
Adapter activity LED
The amber adapter activity LED indicates the status of the Remote
Supervisor Adapter II. When the LED is flashing, the Remote
Supervisor Adapter II is functioning normally. When the LED is lit
continuously, there is a problem with the Remote Supervisor Adapter
II. When the LED is off, the Remote Supervisor Adapter II is not
functioning.
Power LED
The green power LED indicates the status of the power connection.
The power LED is lit when one or both of the following situations
occur:
v
The Remote Supervisor Adapter II is receiving power from the
server in which it is installed.
v
The external power-supply adapter is connected to the Remote
Supervisor Adapter II and to a properly grounded electrical outlet.
ASM connector
Connect the ASM breakout cable to the ASM connector to enable
system management through the serial connector and through the
ASM RS-485 connectors.
External power-supply connector
Connect the power-supply adapter that comes with the Remote
Supervisor Adapter II to this connector. Using the power-supply
adapter is optional. It provides power to the Remote Supervisor
Adapter II, independent of the server power supply.
