In a fully populated p5-550 or p5-550Q, there are two GX+ buses, one from each processor
card, and there can be a maximum of two Remote I/O expansion cards. The Remote I/O
expansion cards are hot-pluggable and operate up to 1 GHz. The RIO-2 ports are used for I/O
expansion to the supported external I/O drawers.
Table 2-3 provides a summary of the cumulative throughput rates for memory, cache, and I/O
for the p5-550 and p5-550Q.
