password is entered.
Go to Step 7.
The system stopped and an indicator is
displayed on the system console and an
eight-digit error code is not displayed.
If the indicator (text or icon) represents:
a keyboard, record error code M0KBD000
and report the problem to the service
organization.
memory, record error code M0MEM002 and
report the problem to the service
organization.
SCSI, record error code M0CON000 and
report the problem to the service
organization.
Network, record error code M0NET000 and
report the problem to the service
organization.
Speaker/Audio, record error code
M0BT0000 and report the problem to the
service organization.
The System Management Services menu is
displayed.
The device or media you are attempting to boot
from may be faulty.
1. Check the SMS error log for any errors. To
check the error log:
Choose tools
Choose error log
If an error is logged, check the time
stamp.
If the error was logged during the
current boot attempt, record it and
report it to your service person.
If no recent error is logged in the error
log, continue to the next step below.
2. If you are attempting to load the Online
Diagnostics, try loading the Standalone
Diagnostics. Otherwise, record error code
M0SCSI01 and report to the service
organization.
The system appears to be stopped, the disk
activity light is on continuously, and a beep was
heard from the system unit.
Record error code M0MEM001 and report the
problem to the service organization.
The system stops and the message "STARTING
SOFTWARE PLEASE WAIT ..." is displayed.
Report error code M0BT0000.
The message "The system will now continue the
boot process" is displayed continuously on the
system unit's console.
Report error code M0SCSI01.
