2.3.2 Installation of the Main Unit
Caution :
�
Do not attempt to hold the stainless steel sheet directly with hand.
�
Be careful not to make a dent on the stainless steel sheet by dropping a tool or
work piece.
�
Do not generate dust or metal contamination around the stainless steel sheet.
If caused, please wipe it off after the work. Operation with the sheet that has
foreign matters on its surface may cause the foreign matters involved inside
the slider, which may result in damage, waviness or pop-up on the sheet.
Also, there is a magnet on the side cover, which adheres magnetic objects as
metal piece and metal contamination. Exercise precaution to the surrounding
environment.
• Make sure the platform to install the actuator possesses a structure with sufficient stiffness, so
vibration would not be generated.
• The surface where the actuator will be mounted should be a machined surface or that with an
accuracy equivalent to it, and the flatness should be 0.05mm/m or below.
• Have enough space for the maintenance work.
• There are tapped holes on the back of the base for installation. Utilize these tapped holes for
installation. Refer to the table below for the effective thread depth for the base attachment
screws.
Pay attention not to have the end of the screw stick out. Also, there equipped with the reamed
holes for positioning pins that can be utilized if necessary.
