energized and the tray is correctly aligned, the fans will
immediately start running as contact is made with the rear power
connectors.
2. Replace the access cover and tighten the captive thumbscrew.
Individual fans may be replaced on the fan tray, however this should
not be attempted as part of a hot-swap operation.
3.6.3 Removal of the Cooling Blowers
Three cooling blowers force hot air out the exhaust openings at the
top rear of the chassis. The blowers may be individually hot
swapped as follows:
1.
Loosen the captive thumbscrew at the right hand end of the
blower access cover at the top front of the chassis (see Figure 3-
4).

2. Remove the access cover and withdraw the blower to be replaced
(see
Figure 3-5). To remove the rightmost blower it is necessary to rotate
the small Display/Status board fully outward on its hinge (see
