Spark Plug Service
To insure proper operation the spark arrester should be cleaned thoroughly at least
once every 100 hours of use.
1. Remove the top screw and the top maintenance cover (refer to fig.).
2. Remove the ignition coil (refer to fig.).
3. Clean any dirt and debris around the spark plug base.
4. Use a wrench to remove the spark plug (refer to fig.).
5. Visually inspect the spark plug. Clean the spark plug with a brush if it is to be reused.
6. The spark plug clearance gap should be between 0.7 mm - 0.8 mm (0.028” to 0.03”)
7. Install the correctly gapped spark plug back into the original position.
8. Reinstall the ignition coil securely.
9. Close the top maintenance cover and tighten the screw.
