9. Electrical connection
Danger of electrical shock!
Dangerous electrical voltage!
All work relating to the electrical installation
may only be carried out by designated spe-
cialist personnel (electrician or qualified per-
son with equivalent training).
The customer is responsible for monitoring
the qualifications of the specialist personnel.
Do not connect the high-pressure nozzle sys-
tem to the live power supply before all instal-
lation work has been completed.
General installation rules
•
All local rules concerning the imple-
mentation of electrical installations
must be obeyed
•
Electric connector cables to be laid pro-
fessionally
•
Install the electrical connections
according to the wiring diagram
•
Electrical connection to a permanent
line is mandatory (according to VDE
0700 Part 98, IEC 60335-2-98) with cir-
cuit breaker ratings as required by the
technical specifications of the unit
•
Ensure that all terminal screws are
securely fastened
Possible electronical components destruc-
tion through electrostatical discharge!
Prior to commencing electrical installation
work, steps (e.g. ESD protection) must be tak-
en to guard the sensitive electronical compo-
nents of the unit control against damage from
electrostatical discharge.
9.1 Electrical installation
approach
Danger of electrical shock due to rema-
nence voltage!
The frequency converter terminals can show
hazardous voltages for some time even after
switching off.
Before touching the terminals wait
at least
180 secs
.
Since leakage currents > 35 mA may occur, a
second PE conductor must be connected to
the second PE terminal. Use
•
2.5 mm² wiring in the case of protected
installation
•
4.0 mm² for unprotected installation
If a residual current device is to be installed
upstream of the system a universal-current-
sensitive circuit-breaker should be selected.
