3.7 Function description
Within the framework of digitization, the Internet of things and
smart algorithms and systems, there is an ever increasing em-
phasis on the networking of sensors, modules and systems.
The connectivity of products is therefore becoming an increas-
ingly important success factor in the central provision of solu-
tion, action and user-oriented information.
As an edge device, the DATA+ BOX was designed to com-
bine , on the one hand, existing machine data as well as data
from additional sensors and interfaces and to evaluate this
data. Data obtained in this way can then be forwarded to
higher-level systems such as cloud solutions.
Standard industry interfaces are implemented. In conjunction
with the DATA+ BOX with the HYDAC CMX software, the data
can be collected and evaluated via the following bus protocols
and software interfaces:
– Modus
®
RTU and TCP
– OPC-UA (client & server)
– CANopen
– REST
– HYDAC HFI-MM & HFI-CM
– Siemens Automation S7 connection
With the pre-installed CMX software, the following are possi-
ble:
– Sensor data can be recorded
– Dashboards to visualize the data can be created
– Historical data can be used
– Existing algorithms can be used and
– Your own Java scripts can be programmed
– and much more.
