Type A and Type B ropes
The product Climbing Rope 11.5/11.8 mm is a Type A
rope.
The performance requirements of Type B ropes are
lower than those for Type A ropes. A Type B rope
requires more protection against damages, such as the
effects of friction, cuts and general wear. With a Type
B rope, maximum caution is necessary to prevent a fall.
Type A ropes are more suitable for rope-assisted work
or work positioning than Type B ropes.
