Application Note – Battery 

The Hughes 9211 battery is a high capacity lithium-ion battery pack.  When using the 9211-HDR 
terminal in extremely hot environments with an HDR PDP context active, you may receive a “Battery 
Too Hot” error message after about an hour of usage. 

To get rid of this error, you can connect an external power source.  Some standard external power 
sources are listed below: 

 

AC/DC power adapter P/N 3500411-0002 

 

Hughes DC/DC power adapter P/N 3500099-0001 

 

Various military batteries e.g. BA-5590 (Must have 2.5mm ID X 5.5mm OD barrel connector) 

 

Anton Bauer or a PAGlink battery with an off-the-shelf adapter for external power
