Gas SF6 was invented in this century, due to it’s outstanding insulated performance and arc suppression
performance, used in high voltage and extra-high voltage switch equipments. In normal temperature,
gas SF6 is colorless, inodorous and transparent inert gas, upstanding chemical stability. The atomic
weight of SF6 is 146, it’s about 5 times of atmosphere, so if leaked in atmosphere will deposit on the
earth’s surface.
