Customizing the conference control list
Requesting the Floor
If a conference has the chair site, non-chair sites can request the floor from the chair site.
Once a site has the floor, other sites in the conference can view and hear that site.
Showing and Hiding Captions
If a conference supports T.140, a user can operate the touch panel to show or hide captions on
the local HD displays.
Enabling and Disabling Voice Activation
The TP3106-70 provides two voice activation modes: switching by speaker and switching by
site. A user can therefore broadcast either of the following based on the user requirements:
The site generating the highest volume, with voice activation switching by site
The screen generating the highest volume, with voice activation switching by speaker
The generated volume must exceed the voice activation threshold for a site or screen to be broadcast.
Requesting and Releasing Chair Control Rights
In a multipoint conference where the TP3106-70 is used, two roles exist: the chair site and the
non-chair site. The conference chair site has more conference controls available than other
sites. If no chair site has been selected to chair the conference, any site can request chair
control rights. Non-chair sites can only view others sites, request the floor, show/hide captions,
and request chair control rights. A conference can have only one chair site at a time. Chair
control rights are automatically released when the chair site exits the conference.
