Calculating the Amount of Refrigerant to Be Charged
If L is less than or equal to 30 meters, no extra refrigerant is required onsite.
If L is greater than 30 meters but less than or equal to 60 meters, add refrigerant. The amount
is (L – 30 m) x 0.05 kg/m for
NetCol500-A018
outdoor unit.
If L is greater than 30 meters but less than or equal to 60 meters, add refrigerant. The amount
is (L – 30 m) x 0.1 kg/m for
NetCol500-A020
outdoor unit.
1. Convert the components that cause partial resistance loss such as elbows into the length
equivalent to that of straight pipes, and add the equivalent length to the length of the
straight pipe between the indoor and outdoor units to obtain the total one-way pipe length
(L). L should be less than or equal to 60 meters. If L exceeds 60 meters, contact Huawei
technical support.
2. Charge extra refrigerant before power-on commissioning.

System Commissioning
5. Remove the hose, pressure gauge, and vacuum pump.
6. Install needle valve nut and rear cover nut of indoor unit and outdoor unit.
7. Wrap the gas pipe stop valve and liquid stop valve with stop valve sponge.
