Maintenance and inspection
F
or proper operation of the interface unit it is advised to have the following points inspected and
maintained at least once every 24 months on the interface unit. Ask your heat supplier or your installer
about the options for service and inspection. Maintenance and repairs on the interface unit must be carried
out by approved professionals.
• For maintenance and inspection of the interface unit fi rst remove the plug from the plug socket.
• Close the supply and return valve in the district heating network.
• Close the supply and return valve in the central heating system.
• Check the couplings and connections inside and outside the interface unit for leaks. If necessary,
replace the seals and/or tighten the couplings.
• Check the strainer for dirt and clean it if required.
• Check the valves for dirt and clean them if required.
• Check the heat supply for domestic water and CH.
• The jacket can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Under no circumstances use solvents (for example:
cleaning spirit, methylated spirits, etc.)
Note!
The interface unit contains electrical components (24 V direct current). These components are not
splashproof
and must be kept dry at all times.
DURING ABSENCE OR HOLIDAYS
Do not pull the plug out of the plug socket! During (long-lasting) absence or holidays do not switch the
interface unit off and under no circumstances close the radiator valves or the valves of the interface unit
and/or the district heating network. This is to prevent frost damage to the pipework in the district heating
network or home installation. If desired it is possible to lower the radiator position to the frost protection
position (slightly open position) and/or set the room thermostat no lower than 15 °C.
After a period of absence it is recommended to fl ush all water tapping points for at least 2 minutes.
WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU:

life
