Check engine door actuating mechanism for proper function.
Check throttle control, manual primer (when squeezing rubber
bulb, air must be expelled through hole in lid of carburetors) and
prop arresting device for proper function.
NOTE
For prop stop mechanism acting on prop central drive wheel:
With the prop arresting device open check that there is a
clearance of about 1 mm (0.04 in.) through 2 mm (0.08 in.)
between ball bearing and propeller hub.
For prop stop mechanism acting on propeller tip:
Check the rubber stopper for wear.
m) Check ignition system, ignition harness and lead ends for
proper seating.
n) Check drive belt for wear.
o) Rotate propeller by hand repeatedly and listen for abnormal
noise. Check for engine binding.
p) Depress fuel drain (at the bottom of the fuselage, aft of the
landing gear) and discharge condensed water. Check that the
drain outlet is clear.
q) Check function of water pump with ignition ON. Check pump,
plug and hoses for proper attachment.
r) Check coolant liquid quantity. Check cap of expansion reservoir
for firm attachment.
s) Check locking of quick-disconnect coupling of fuel lines and
harness connection.
t) Check that the opening for the fuel tank vent line (at the upper
end of the fin) is clear.

a) Check that the front stabilizer attachment bolt is engaged.
b) Check for blocked Pitot, gently blow into the Pitot to check ASI
function.
c) Fit compensatory tube and check line. When blowing against
tube, the connected vertical speed indicator registers "climb".
